ALTERNATE ROUTE
2. Wild Backside of Griffith Park: mountain-high river-deep, and more remote.
Go deeper into this alternative, more remote, tour of Griffith Park to show the extraordinary wild backside of this massive park. While we begin the tour the same as our other Griffith Park route (LA River, Ranger Station, Autry Museum, LA Zoo, Travel Town), riders will instead peel off half way up the mountain at Cathy's Corner (site of the "LA LA Land" dance sequence) and head across natural chapparel-covered terrain to Beehive Rock for views of the San Gabriel Mountains. Note: this ride does not include the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory or Greek Theater, and is cooler in summer given the sun is on the other side of the mountain.
